Earlier this week Zillow announced that on May 1 the company will end manual listing entry for real estate agents. Does this announcement have you wondering if you will be impacted?
Zillow’s decision to eliminate manual entry only impacts agents who do not already syndicate listings to Zillow via broker feed, franchise feed, or through another channel like an IDX vendor or virtual tour vendor. To learn more about where your listings are being syndicated, contact your managing broker to ask if your listings are already being sent to Zillow. You can also review information about the REcolorado Syndication program.
Zillow understands the implications of the cessation of this service and the affect it will have on those who rely upon it. In recent conversations, Zillow has been much more focused on an agreement with REcolorado that is in the best interest of agents and focuses on accurate data, fair display, prominent display of the listing broker, getting leads to the listing broker, and limiting derivative products.
