I consider REcolorado one of the greatest MLSs in the country. Why? Because REcolorado has a strong commitment to its subscribers. It’s a forward-thinking company that makes good on its promise to supply an innovative set of technology solutions designed to keep the broker at the center of the real estate transaction, all at a low cost.

But among all the useful tools REcolorado offers, there’s one that’s often overlooked: the agent profile. You’re probably thinking, “What? That doesn’t really count, right?” Oh, but it does. Because when properly completed, it’s a valuable lead generator. receives 2 million visitors per month, mainly potential homebuyers. They’re more likely to contact you about a property if they can see your photo and read a little about you. Additionally, if you link to your REcolorado agent profile from your personal website, it could improve your search engine optimization (which means you’ll increase your odds of turning up in a Google search run by potential clients).

Our team at RE/MAX Masters Millennium believes in the agent profile so much that we asked ourselves how we could work toward 100-percent participation in our office. We spoke with our REcolorado Account Manager who was happy to put together a program for us, including a demonstration of the impact of a completed profile. We also decided to make it an office contest. Any agent in our office who completed their profile (added a photo, completed the ‘About’ section, and added a website link) within the designated 30 days was entered in a drawing to win gift cards and REcolorado swag. It was a fun way to encourage participation, and we’ll soon achieve our goal.

The REcolorado agent profile matters and I’d encourage you to repurpose our participation program or develop one of your own. It’s easy, and it’s fun. Make sure you reach out to your Account Manager first, though, so they can provide resources and help you brainstorm. They’ll even help you upload photos and bios. In the meantime, check out 5 Easy Ways to Refresh Your Profile. It’s a resource that was helpful for our team.

It’s also handy to know the REcolorado Training Department is happy to teach a training course at your office. I’d recommend You and New Clients, a step-by-step course on how to complete your profile.

And lastly, if you simply need help with something, don’t hesitate to contact Customer Care. They’re friendly people who’ll get you what you need when you need it.
