Based on your feedback, we’ve made a few enhancements to the MLS. Leesa Baker, head of REcolorado Customer Care, walks you through what’s new and how you can take advantage of the changes.
The REcolorado Rules and Regulations Committee recently helped implement a few enhancements to the MLS. You might be thinking, “What is this committee?” Don’t worry; you’re probably not alone. The Rules and Regulations Committee is a group of Colorado real estate agents and appraisers—your peers—who collect your feedback and bring it to a meeting once every other month to discuss how the MLS can continue to be a great resource for you and your business.
Each REALTOR® association has representatives on the committee. Click here to view your representatives. Additionally, we’d like to introduce our newest committee member, Nathan Hawk. He is an appraiser representative and we’re excited to have him on board. Welcome, Nathan!
Based on your most recent feedback, here are a few things that have been modified:
New fields for your IDX website – Open House, Selling Agent ID, Selling Agent Name
We want to make sure you’re highlighted as the go-to real estate resource for your clients and potential clients. When home shoppers search for homes on your IDX website, they’ll now be able to see if a property has an open house. They’ll also see the selling agent’s name and ID on sold listings. You’ll want to check with your IDX provider or website developer to make sure the new fields display properly on your website. Note: If you use Frame IDX from Matrix, the fields will be added in the coming weeks.
Addition of Commercial and Farm and Ranch property types
REcolorado has expanded beyond the Denver metro market. We provide MLS services to Realtors of Central Colorado, and, later this fall, we’ll provide services to Steamboat Springs Board of REALTORS®. Both associations have an abundance of Farm and Ranch properties. To ensure we have a system that works for all areas of Colorado, we’ve added two new property types: Commercial and Farm and Ranch.
Limited Service field has been removed
We’ve removed the Limited Service field to eliminate confusion and make sure everyone is on the same page regarding services offered.
If you have any questions about these changes, feel free to contact REcolorado Customer Care or reach out to your local association representatives.
