Why Work in Incoming Status?
One of the very first pieces of advice our Customer Care team will offer you is to work in Incoming status when you add a new listing. This is because Incoming status allows you to save your work and come back to it later. The ability to work in Incoming status and enter your listings at your own pace is one of the many benefits of Matrix! Follow these steps to save your work:
- Click the ‘Status’ tab.
- Make sure you have Incoming status selected.
- Click ‘Submit Listing.’*
- You should then see a screen telling you your listing was successfully submitted (aka “saved”).
30-Day Save Timeline
It’s important to note that Matrix will automatically delete an Incoming listing after 30 days of inactivity. To keep your Incoming listing available, you’ll need to visit the listing and re-click the ‘Submit Listing’ button. This will reset the timeframe. Remember, your listing will not go live until you change the status to Active.
*When you work in Incoming status, the Submit Listing button means your work will be saved and you can continue editing it later. Your listing is not yet public. When you work in Active status and click the Submit Listing button, your listing will be made public in the MLS. We recommend working in Incoming status until you’re ready to make your listing public.
