Coming Soon Period Returning to Seven Days

Update: The extension to the Coming Soon period will end on November 2, 2020. Listings may remain in Coming Soon status for up to 7 days.

Since March, people across Colorado have had to adapt to changing circumstances and uncertain market conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. REcolorado produces frequent Market Watch Reports to provide the most recent statistics and help brokers understand how the pandemic is affecting the housing market.

After a period of uncertainty, the housing market returned to an extended buying and selling season, often showing more activity compared to the same time last year.

As your MLS partner, our goal is to support you as you continue serving your clients through changing conditions. To allow brokers to test the uncertain market conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Coming Soon period was temporarily extended from 7 days to 14 days with the intent that it would be reverted as market conditions improved. Now that the housing market has stabilized, and inventory is low, the extension will be removed effective November 2, 2020.

When you submit a listing as Coming Soon, you can select an Activation Date within 7 days to help input listings at your pace. If no date is entered, the Activation Date will automatically be set to seven days from when the listing is first submitted to Coming Soon status. The listing will automatically move to Active status on the Activation Date, unless you choose to make it Active before the Coming Soon period ends.

If you have a listing currently in Coming Soon status with an Activation Date between 7 and 14 days from when the listing was submitted to Coming Soon status, the Activation Date will be changed to seven (7) days. If your listing has been in Coming Soon status for more than 7 days, it will automatically be moved to Active status.  REcolorado will notify you if you have a listing that will be impacted by this change.
