2019 Year-to-Date Housing Market Stats

How’s the market? This is likely the question you’re asked most as a real estate broker.

Fortunately, REcolorado works with each of the REALTOR® associations we serve to make certain you have the information you need to not only answer that question but also show that you’re the local market expert.

REcolorado recently released our September reports, which closes out the 3rd quarter of the year. So, how has our year been so far? In the Denver Metro Area, year to date market stats show a strong market. 

2019 Year-to-Date Sales

Let’s start by taking a look at sales.  Year to date, we’re just a bit below the 5-year high that we experienced in 2017.

2019 Year-to-Date New Listings

Fortunately, sellers are bringing new listings to the market to meet this demand. The measure for new listings year to date reached the highest point we’ve seen since 2014.

2019 Year-to-Date Average Sold Prices

So, how are prices?  Year to date stats for the Denver metro area show Average Sold Price continues to increase steadily – up 2.5% over the same period last year.  Prices are still increasing, but at a slower pace than we’ve seen in the past 5 years.

2019 Year-to-Date Days on Market

Finally, so far this year, homes are spending a bit more time on the market – an average of 4 days more than last year.
